BooksForBlessings.com is currently classified as a for-profit company, however we also have a gofundme campaign to help raise funds so we can hire a lawyer and convert to a 501c3.

Our business model is simple - gather books, sell them, give the proceeds to the needy. We currently only keep $0.35 per book sold which barely covers the cost of bubble mailers and a label on which we can print postage. As a result we don't have any operating cash. The rest of the revenue is gifted to non-profits, outreach ministries, or even to individuals with extreme financial hardships on a 1099 basis (only because we are not yet a non-profit at which point they will be grants).
God is blessing our ministry with an outpouring from the community on book donations and we simply were not expecting to be so widely received. We are getting books donated from other states. As a result we are out of storage room on our tables and have had to result to storing books in boxes on the ground. That is not ideal for the longevity of the book storage or the efficiency in locating the books for fulfillment.
Your gift will go directly to the purchase of adjustable heavy duty shelving so we can store the books so they don’t get damaged.
We need two more of the shelving units to establish an intake and inventory area. They are about $125 ea at Home Depot.
We are stuck between a rock and a hard spot. Although we trust God to provision our ministry, we still need financial contributions or a complete gift of the material equipment described above so that we can really serve Him and the least of these around us.
