HELP THE SCOUTS SEE THE WORLD!

·      The 2nd Malden Scout Group are raising funds towards International trips, the first of these being in the summer of 2019, to the USA and Sweden.  In just over two years time, selection will also begin for the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea in 2023, so if your children were born between July 2005 and July 2009, this could be your moment.

·      These funds will be used to aid the participants of trips in buying equipment, subsiding the price of the experience and most importantly, helping paying for Scouts from developing countries to attend the World Scout Jamboree in America, a gathering of over 30,000 Scouts from around the world (https://www.scout.org/24wsj).

·     The 2nd Malden Executive Committee, made up of Leaders & parents, can also decide to allocate some of the funds towards other Scouting events or expenses.

·      Any donations made will help us to aid everyone in having equal opportunities to share life changing experiences such as trips to next year's trips to America and Sweden. These trips can help us develop skills such as teamwork and learning about different cultures from around the world, as well as empathizing with people with fewer opportunities than us.

·      Furthermore, we would like to encourage and help the current Cubs and Scouts to apply for & take part in future International opportunities, by passing on our experiences and what we have learnt to the next generation.
