As most of you know on December 24th, 2018 my husband Darren became Ill. He was airlifted to St. John's where he went through open heart surgery, sadly he also suffered multiple strokes. He has been in a coma/semi-conscience state ever since. We are coming up on a year of missing him in our lives, a year without his laugh, his love and smile. My life and the lives of our 3 sons will never be the same.
During this horrible year my family and I have packed up everything we own and moved to St. John's so that he could continue to have the best care possible and so we could be close to him. It hasn't been easy and to be honest we are struggling. We dont like to ask for help but right now we really need it. Darren was the only income in our house and although I'm looking for work, having a severely autistic son makes it a little more difficult.
If I had known on that day that would be the last time he hugged me, the last time he told me he loved me I would have prayed for time to stand still. We do not know what the future holds but we will never give up hope.
