Help the kids feel at home again
Jade, age 13, Jack age 9, and Betty, age 6, had just gotten home from school. Betty and Jack were outside playing on their bikes when Jack saw smoke, then quickly flames coming from under their home. Jack shouted into the house of what he saw. Jenny, their mom, was getting ready for her overnight shift at work when she ran out with their dogs and Jade who were inside. It didn't take long for their entire home to be billowing with smoke. By the time the fire departments, arrived the garage had already caught fire. As of right now they will need everything, including clothes, shoes, beds, blankets, and toiletries. This is all before you ask the kids what they've lost in the fire. Once the fire departments left, Jade was able to grab a charred medal she earned at Destination Imagination, however Jack's books were burned, and Betty's famous "B" (the blanket she's carried with her since she was a baby) was all lost. Anything will help at this time, and your support is greatly appreciated. The kids will soon be back in school with anything we are able to raise for them!+ Read More
The kids are all back in school, some moments are harder than others, but they are getting through it together. Thank you again, to everyone that has helped support them in getting their lives back together! Please keep sharing as they have a long road ahead ❤
Here are a couple photos of the house as it is right now.
Can't thank everyone enough for the support you've already shown! Unfortunately I had to raise the goal amount after purchasing 1 set of clean clothes for the kids to wear today. The plan is to get them back in school tomorrow. For example, Betty still needs tennis shoes, and they all need books, and jackets, and the list goes on and on. Again, my family and I can't express how much this means to us! Thank you for sharing and showing support in this family crisis.
