Help the homeless vet and his pups

$5,645 of $5,000 goal

Raised by 177 people in 19 months
Orangeburg,SC
There is a homeless veteran in our community that is in need. We have no shelters in the area and he has dogs he will not leave and has no where for he and his dogs to have a safe and warm place to stay. He feeds his dogs before he feeds himself. His dogs are his family. He is appreciative  of any help anyone has given him. Please help us raise money to help this man who fought for our freedom and his dogs have a safe and warm place to call home and food on the table.

An account has been set up with his name on it and his name only. As soon as go fund me allows me to collect the funds, all funds will go straight into that account. I am thinking, 4-7 business days.

I am still in the process of getting in touch with him. If you have any problems, questions, concerns on why it's taking so long. Feel free to email me. gabrielln94@yahoo.com

Do you think it is best to deliver the money to Mr. Ronnie. He may not be the best manager of money and people will know he has the money. He has such a kind heart. He may give the money away or he may be robbed and then he will be right back on the street. I am sure a bank in Orangeburg could help and possibly distribute the funds to him on a weekly or monthly basis. I am glad to help in any way I can. But, I ha e worked with homeless shelters in the past and have always been told not to give money directly to the individual. Please let me know if you need any assistance since I know this is a lot to take on. But, I am afraid we have all worked so hard to raise this money and Mr Ronnie will not have anything left in a short period of time. God bless you for doing this.

I would like an update, please. I was emailed stating once the goal was reached, our Veteran would be receiving the funds. I am happy the number is still climbing, but in the mean while how is he and the pups surviving. Is he able to drive? Can someone help him with that?

I just read where someone is donating a camper. What a blessing. Let's keep this going. The camper will need electricity and he and his dogs will need food. I can donate a television also if there would be a hook up. Let's show this man God's love.

Look at what our community has done for this man in just a few short days. Makes me feel so happy to know that even with all that's going on in this world right now, we can still come together and unite for such a good cause.

I'm sorry I couldn't give you more, but I hope my little bit, added to others will help you and your puppies. The fact that he shares what little food he gets with them and refuses to let them to the wind for warmth and housing for himself stole my heart. It's a merit to the man he is inside.
