Help Support James Ford

James has been employed at out local movie theater for over a decade. He started back when the location was owned by Carmike Cinemas and has seen the location pass through the hands of Dickenson Theaters, Showplex Cinemas, StarPlex Cinemas, and now AMC Theaters. He has been there longer than anyone else and in turn has seen that place as if it was a second home. The employees, though they often come and go, are held as close as a second family to him as well.

James has recently seen hardship with his mothers passing and is soon planning to move to California to be with other family members. Unfortunately, with little more than roughly a month remaining, the movie theater let him go based on ridiculous claims. The claims of a customer leaving $1,000 inside of a movie theater auditorium, which its very existence cannot be proven true, let alone the possibility of other customers picking it up if it was there are no more than speculations of third parties. The management seemed to have acknowledged this and in looking for someone to pin the blame on, have wrongfully made James their victim. The official reason being for something that occurred over a month ago that management was already aware of and had chosen to take no action on.

To have given so much time and dedication to a place only to be tossed out with such little time left by a new, inexperienced manager is hurtful to not only James, but the many people who have come to know him by coming to the movies or working alongside with him. With James set so close to moving out of state, that final month of work would be crucial to help him as he aims to make a fresh start in another state.

Please help James by donating what you can to ease the transition into a new life in California. By doing so, we can also thank him for all of his efforts over the many years at the theater and show him that despite the actions of current employees, there are much more people out there that wish him the best.
