Help restore the lavender fields

Lavender Lovers and Friends of the Farm,

I am Alicia Wolff, owner of San Diego's only organic, woman owned and operated lavender farm.  When I stepped foot on the property in September 2008 I felt an instant connection with the land.  Over the years, I have nurtured and tended to her with the help of experts who could properly farm these beautiful lavender fields.

As the popularity for this sacred land grew, we welcomed many visitors to come and enjoy the property, and with the help of my team, we hosted many health and wellness events in the form of yoga retreats, farm to table dinners, as well as love ceremonies, family photo shoots, and many special life celebrations.  We realized just how much healing this space holds within its roots and we wanted to share it with those who felt drawn to the land.

Many have come and experienced the energy here, and we have formed personal relationships with so many of you who keep returning to enjoy connecting with Mother Earth.  Over the past few years, the plants have suffered from various soil issues, and the loss of our hard working ranch hand.  We have tried very hard to maintain and keep her abundant, but between the depletion of the soil, the drought and then too much rain, the fields need to be replanted.

We are reaching out for your generosity, love and support.  Just as this land has provided us with the healing love it holds, we must return that same energy back into the soil.  Not only will this bring back our fields, but this will also help the Colony Collapse Disorder, that is affecting the bees, which in turn will eventually affect our food supply.

Keeping one of San Diego's most prized places to visit in California is our goal.  We need your help to restore the lavender fields to all their glory!

Please help us keep doing what we have been doing, for many more years of magic and miracles!

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Sincerely,
Alicia and Team Lavender

Funds raised will go towards preparing the fields, irrigation, nutrients, mulch, equipment, weed control, labor and plants.  Each field costs approximately $20,000 and we have four fields to replace.  Target date is May 2019.

As we prepare for the upcoming season, there is the manufacturing of our high quality organic products that are hand made here on the farm.  Your assistance will help us keep providing you with the products you have come to love over the years.  Target date is April 2019.

We have applied for grants from the USDA through their Natural Resources Conservation Service (2017)
We are currently working closely with the SBDC, Small Business Development Center, and have become certified through the SBA for assistance with their Small Business program, as well as their Small Women Owned Business program.  Working with the government takes time, but we are reaching out to all the resources available to farmers and small businesses.

We understand that not everyone can help with financial assistance, so here are some suggestions of where you can help:

Donations of materials such as mulch, irrigation, weed cloth, decomposed granite, rental equipment, grant writing, labor, workshops, classes, musical events, art classes, and sharing our story!

With so much love and appreciation, we thank you in advance for your support!
