Help Replace Leslie's Stolen Items

Donation protected
On Monday, February 20, Leslie, a 17-year-old Chicago high school student, was mugged in the early afternoon near Rice and Wood streets by three males. They caught Leslie on a good day for them and a bad day for her as she had all of her valuables with her.

After saving up her tip money from working at a restaurant on Chicago Avenue, she had recently purchased a Macbook Pro to use during her upcoming studies at Northeastern Illinois University.   The offenders took that and other valuable items:

1. Mac Book Pro: $1,499 plus taxes
2. iPhone 6s Plus: $649 plus taxes
3. $190 cash (tips from work)
4. Michael Kors Bag: $278 plus taxes
5. Michael Kors Access Watch: $395 plus taxes

They were able to take everything but Leslie -- the offenders tried to put her in the back seat of their (stolen) car but this brave young lady was able to punch one of them in the face causing him to fall on the floor giving her an opportunity to escape.

Neighbors are raising up to $3,500 to replace what was stolen as soon as possible.  If you are able, please help us help Leslie.

A note from Leslie:

"I can't believe everybody's willing to do this for me. I appreciate it so much.. I work and go to school in the area and everything I have I've worked for it because my mom is a single mom and my dad doesn't even live in Chicago. The fact that people in the area our willing to be so kind and thoughtful honestly means more then anything."
