HELP Rachai stay with his family

Donation protected

My name is Angela, my long-term partner of 16 years Rachai Kanyakamin has been served with a 'Notice Of Immigration Decision' from the Home Office. This basically is the removal of him from this country and deported back to Thailand. He moved to the UK on his mothers passport back in 1965 when Rachai was just two years old. He has never been to Thailand and can barely speak the language, he has never even left the UK. He lives at home with his brother Paul and his disabled 88 year old mother, which he looks after on a day to day basis along with Paul. Rachai has a large family, with his mum, 3 brothers, a sister, 8 nieces and nephews, 4 children and a 6 year old granddaughter, as well as all of my family. He has no family in Thailand that he knows of and he would be in a vulnerable, dangerous and scary situation. He also is partially deaf and is registered an asthmatic.

Since the change in law stating you need to have a passport to work, Rachai has been unemployed and hasn't been able to receive any benefits as he also needs a passport to claim. He has been trying ever since to get right to remain. He has already put an application in for a biometric that he was advised to do by a solicitor. This was declined through lack of evidence. He was then told by another solicitor he had actually applied for the wrong thing, and that Rachai would not be getting a refund of £1200.  Since then Rachai has managed to obtain his birth certificate, his medical evidence that is up to date and dating back to 1965, all school records from Bromley archives, copies of his children's birth certificates, payslips, CRB / DBS evidence, national insurance number and old bank statements. All this is proof that he has remained in the country throughout his whole life.

Rachai has been trying to gather enough money from his friends and family to apply for right to remain, which we have been advised by an immigration solicitor to apply for. This is going to cost £1800.  We need a further £660 for DNA tests to be done.

On friday 19th may 2017 he received the 'Notice Of Immigration Decision' saying he has 7 days to leave the country voluntarily or he will be deported back to Thailand. He could be deported from day 8 upto 3 months after the notice was given, and could possibly serve a 6 month prison sentence if he does not leave within the 7 days.

How is this right?

Imagine being ripped away from everything and everyone you know and love, to be taken to a country that you don't know, to have no money friends or family you can turn to and can barely speak the language. We are desperate to stop him being deported and are trying to raise the money to get the best solicitor to help keep Rachai here where he belongs, with his whole world being here in the UK. We all love him so much and this will be heart breaking for us all, especially myself and his mum.

PLEASE HELP US KEEP RACHAI WHERE HE BELONGS AND WITH HIS FAMILY!!
