Paddy Reville is a father to two teenage boys, and is in need of urgent help. He lost his shop and home in a fire and aims to reopen in August. With a donation as little as €25, you can help him start to replenish his stock and rebuild his business again.
On Saturday the 13th of April, Paddy Reville got a call from his neighbour to say that his shop was on fire. Dealing in antiques, old crafts and salvage for more than 30 years, the two story building was home to thousands of items of intrigue.
Unfortunately, the night was very windy and the flames would soon involve his home, which lies adjacent to the shop on his property. By the time he arrived to the scene, the entire shop was ablaze and began to encroach onto his house. Before the site became too dangerous, he managed to retrieve a painting of his son Aran, who passed away tragically some years ago. There was nothing he could do but watch his livelihood and home burn to the ground.
Signs, statues, paintings, instruments, chairs, tables, delph. Items of function, salvage, rare items; many of historical importance. Not to mention, the irreplaceable photos and belongings he has lost in his home. These objects were collected over decades, they were his livelihood.
Paddy's Antiques Shop was a place you could get lost in, and for his many loyal customers it served to supply objects that couldn't be found anywhere else.
