Help our Good Friend

PLEASE HELP A GREAT GUY!

Hello everyone! I’d like to thank you for taking a moment out of your busy schedule to give this a quick read. This is an opportunity to lend a hand to one of my employees who is in desperate need right now; an opportunity to make a huge difference in someone’s life.
Many of my employees work their behinds off to ensure that Stone Fired Pizza remains a restaurant of the highest quality possible. Unfortunately, it isn’t possible for them to be paid their actual worth in such a competitive business as this.

Having said that, I’d like to introduce you to one of my employees. His name is Rio. You may have seen him or even met him sometime during our day-to-day operations; you may have caught a fleeting glimpse of him in the middle of one of our hectic rushes (he's the one wearing the glasses and the perpetual smile—and, no, that’s not me with the smile; I'm the one wearing the stress...lol).

Here’s the thing about my good man, Rio: he has multiple sclerosis—a massively debilitating and painful disease—and because he never used that as some sort of crutch, even we here at Stone Fired Pizza had no idea he had it until more than six months of him working for us, and that was only because he went into a relapse and needed a week off. This is a man who throws everything he’s got into his work. For that matter, he throws everything he’s got into life itself; even showing up to work over an hour early most days.

What makes his situation worse is that his wife was laid off from her job, which is more than enough to make anyone’s life tough. But then there’s the matter of his car having broken down. What this means is that his wife has taken on the additional responsibilities of making sure their kids get to and from school and that Rio can get to and from work. Rio has had to borrow money just to try to keep food on the table for his family to eat and a roof over their heads which, of course, means he’s gone down that dark rabbit hole of debt and that his kids have no gifts beneath this year’s Christmas tree to look forward to.

Despite all that, he never complains and those dark clouds remain hidden behind his ever-present smile, hoping to keep them from darkening everybody else’s day. He’s the kind of person who prefers to hold the negative in and away from others while giving freely all the positive he can.

So, what I want to do is Donate a $20 Pizza Card to everyone that donates $20 to help our friend, Rio, out. Remember any money donatated is greatly appreciated, but $20 will get you a free pizza as a big Thanks.  In this way, we hope to raise enough money to get this wonderful, hard-working person—a friend who deserves a break—back on his feet again. It would be a shame for him lose his house when we all can come together to lend a hand to a friend in need (and he’s a friend to everybody) and turn this situation around. We hope to raise these funds before the end of December, or even by Christmas in order to make sure his kids can look back at this Christmas with fond, happy memories, with no trace of the struggles their amazing and dedicated parents are going through.

To all, thank you so much! I hope that by offering to you something in return for your donation that you not only feel you did not lose anything, but also gained the uniquely awesome feeling of helping someone out, with a free pizza as a big THANK-YOU!

Have a Safe and Happy Holiday Everyone!

P.S.
He does not know about this. If he finds out and lets me put a pic up I will. Hope I'm not in trouble....lol
