Help Noah Study Mathematics in Moscow!
Noah has been accepted into the very competitive Math in Moscow program. This program is regarded as one of the most prestigious programs an undergraduate in Mathematics in the United States, Canada, or Europe can get accepted into. In fact, world renowned mathematician Steven Smale said, "During my visit to the Independent University of Moscow, I was enormously impressed with the quality and excitement of its mathematics." Steven Smale is not only a world renowned mathematician, but has also been awarded the Fields medal, often called the Nobel Prize for mathematics. Not only would traveling to Moscow help Noah grow exponentially as a mathematician, but will also be a huge plus for his graduate study opportunities, along with being a superb addition to his CV. The list of alumni from the program include individuals from MIT, Harvard, Yale, UC Berkeley, Michigan, and other top rated mathematics programs from across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
The program runs from January 28-May 20, 2017, so it is a whole semester program. There are 14 weeks of instruction followed by one week of exams.
The Math in Moscow program is run through Moscow Center For Continuous Mathematical Education, the Independent University Of Moscow, and Higher School Of Economics. The entire cost for the program is $13,000, not including the cost to travel from the United States to Moscow. We are hoping for scholarships to come through, but they are very competitive as well. Any little bit of support will be of huge help! Unsure of the state of the scholarship money we are setting our gofundme goal at $10,000. If we raise extra funds they will be applied to travel and Noah’s graduate school expenses and tuition.
