Help mothers & babies in Venezuela

My name is Claudia and I am a Venezuelan mother currently living in Canada.

My home country Venezuela is going through a very difficult and complex economical debacle.

I have family and friends who live there suffering on a daily basis because of such terrible situation; my heart shrinks each time I see the news or talk to someone about how their journeys is to find the basics to live.

I do not wish to talk about politics here, but the reality is that there are no products to fulfill basic needs such as food and medicines among others.

Even if you have money it is impossible for venezuelans to find any baby formula or diapers, there are no vitamins for expectant or breastfeeding mommies, pretty much anything. And one of the most terrible facts due to this crisis is that hospitals are feeding newborns with lukewarm water because of the lack of formula.

This is why I am asking for a little help from each one of you:

I created a Facebook Group for Venezuelan mothers along with this campaign to raise funds to buy basic need products: formula, diapers, vitamins, non-prescription medicines, and anything required to help expectant women, new mothers, newborns, and kids in general to be sent to Venezuela.

I am the one responsible to buy and coordinate the logistics for all the articles to safely and securely arrive to their so much very needed destinations in many venezuelan cities (not only Caracas). I will also be constantly posting and providing updates to ensure that our donations get to the right hands.

I work on a database to know exactly where mothers, kids, and babies in need are as well as the products they lack the most.

This world needs more empathy, solidarity, and awareness. We need to make a change and I want to start by my own country. Every cent counts!
