My best friend from high school (I’d say oldest close friend, more like a sister, but we don’t feel old) needs your help. Let me explain…
Marie Augusto is in her second phase of life and career. Like a lot of us, she weathered a tough first marriage, lasting over 20 years, and got divorced in an attempt to start over. No long after, she was laid off from her job.
Finding herself single and unemployed in a very tough market, she decided to embark on her dream career. Nursing! As Marie diligently pursued her schooling with a vengeance, a new man stepped into her life. What she didn’t know was that this man had served in the US Marines, during the Gulf war and, as so many others, suffered from severe PTSD. Through the unexpected and violent effects of alcoholism and war time PTSD, Marie now finds herself in desperate need of a divorcing her husband of 2 and a half years. This isn’t an easy for her, she made a commitment to love, in sickness and in health, but when your husband, who has undergone many years of therapy, is still unable to come to terms with what happened during the war, there isn’t much a person can do but let go.
Her schooling will be complete on December 9, 2016. She’s ready to march headlong into her new life but unfortunately, her husband isn’t to travel with her.
The intensity and demands of her schooling has, unfortunately, prevented her from seeking full-time employment. She has relied solely on her husband who, promised to “take care of things” while she was in school. Unfortunately, he has failed to live up to his commitment as she is past due on her phone, electric and mortgage.
Here is my plea – she needs help gathering funds for her divorce from this man. Please help me help her get out of this bad situation. Every dollar helps!
