The Mansfield Haunted house!
Everyone that works at the haunted house is a volunteer, and almost all (if not all) are kids or alumni from Mansfield school! My family and I have been putting the haunted house on, buying all props, costumes and decorations and feeding all 45 kids every weekend for 7 years now. While we love, love, LOVE doing this, due to some personal circumstances, we can barely afford to continue the haunted house. We have never asked for donations before, but unfortunately, if we can't reach a certain amount of money this year, then this will be the last year of the haunted house. It pains my heart to say that, and it kills me to have to ask people to help us but we don't want this tradition to end! We have kids come up to us YEAR ROUND asking about the haunted house and if they could finally be a part of it all. We just can't stand the thought of letting them down.
The haunted house is such a bonding time for the kids, they make so many friends and really come out of their shells while working with us, we really don't want this fantastic tradition we started to end.
The fund we would receive would go straight back into the haunted house, making it bigger and better every year just like always. We would use it to feed the kids and make sure they have cool costumes, and throw them a party at the end of October like we always do.
This time of year is crunch time for the haunted house, we only have two short months to be able to get everything done and to find a way to pay for everything, that's why we are so desperate for help.
We cannot even express how grateful we would be, even for the smallest of donations. The support of the community would make us feel so proud that all the blood sweat and tears put into this haunted house over the years would feel so worth it.
So, please, if you want to support our cause and have even a dollar to spare, please donate to us. We really love doing this for the kids, it keeps them out of trouble and doing something super fun and helping them make deep rooted friendships with awesome memories.
