                                        §   Service Charge discrepancies
                                        §   Poor Administration & Estate Management

       Detail of why the LHA needs funds:

                              We need funds to so we can help you more. For example by :
                                      §   Producing Dossiers : on Major Works and Service Charges – compile, print & present
                                      §   Holding evening meetings  to present & discuss key issues
                                      §   Coordinating  collective action
                                      §   Being able to seek professional advice (eg legal) to support action
                                      §   Upgrade the website to make it more effective;
                                      §   Generate posters to publicise the LHA and events

Whatever you can donate will all be used to help us help you.

Much of the LHA has been set up already by volunteers: a basic website, an online Forum, a regular Newsletter, and the committee donates time and covers minor costs themselves.

But we are now heading towards a four figure membership and we are engaged actively in complex issues that need better consultation processes, including with the dossiers on major works and service charges. We therefore need a small working fund to cover the costs identified in our budget (see above).  We therefore need YOU to HELP YOURSELF by making a small donation to this fund.

                         DONATIONS:     'Help Yourself' is the campaign name – and that is just what it is! 
                              Whatever you can afford to pay will help us help you.
                              If you are able to donate, we suggest £25 for this year.  But anything would be appreciated.

      LHA Membership is open to:
         All homeowners who own a property for which Service Charges are paid to Lambeth Council.

Don’t qualify for LHA membership but would like to donate?  We cannot accept donations from political parties but all other donations are welcome. Please write your organisation or personal name and mark your donation in the ‘Leave a comment’ box with the reference Non-Member Donation. Thank you.

ABOUT THE LHA
The LHA was formed in September 2017. Its committee was elected by homeowners at an AGM in July 2018. It comprises homeowners, just like you, who volunteer to help improve the way our homes are maintained and ensure good value for money. As of January 2019 there are 820 homeowner members.

There is no membership fee to join the LHA. But the committee is asking for small contributions to cover the administrative and practical expenses listed above. Please Help Yourself by donating.
