Kuttandan Helping Hands – An initiative to rebuild the life of Kuttandan people who were severely impacted by the server flood !!!
Kuttanad — known as Kerala’s granary and for its backwater tourism — has turned into a ghost town. The flood water from the eastern hills and towns of central Kerala have submerged the region this monsoon, flushing out 2 lakh people from their houses…People of Kuttanad remain refugees in the mainlands of Alappuzha and Changanassery, where they have been lodged in camps since August 15th…
We committed to bring Kuttandan people back to their normal life...Help them to build everything from scratch…since they lost everything…
This initiative is to adopt 100+ families (as first step) and support them on very specific needs…As a first step, planning to distribute some of the basic needs for long run…
1. Bed Mattress (No# 100)
2. Pressure Cooker (No# 100)
3. Water Pumps (#100)
4. Gas stove (#100)
5. Water treatment plan (Yet to decide the plan)
Planning to raise 25 Lakhs worth goods (INR 25,000 per family) as first phase and distribute directly these families…

Help Kuttanadan people under severe flood..
- last 4 weeks, people of kuttand under water..
- Everyone left their home and moved to relief camps - lost everything in the homes - Clothes, Furniture, vehicles, documents..all their savings
- People of Kuttand need your help to rebuild their normal life..
The immediate focus of the fund is to help with food and goods required for the people of Kuttand (Alappuzha District, Kerala, India)
- Then, once people is back to their homes, fund will be used to help them to rebuild their normal life - what they lost - Homes, Clothes, furniture. Etc
- There are people need financial help for medical needs
- There are people need financial help to meet their daily need since lost their entire savings
- The fund and help will be given directly to the head of the family.
- As of now, we have helped 72 families but need more help
