Help Joe & Share the love

Donation protected
I am creating this upon Joe's Approval as of Sept 29th,2019 at 10:30am - I believe That "We Can" - love those who have lost hope...and restore the light of Life in a person through authentic, genuine acts of kindness to the "least" as we would for the "greatest".

The People of Monroe Michigan have spoken of ways to help a man in our community who is truly in need. - This is My Stance in this GoFundMe- To see Joe in a place of warmth, peace and comfort this upcomming winter.. $645 covers 2 week of lights, gas, water etc at a local "America's Best" that he stays at occasionally - The Monthly is $ 1290 That is "very costly" in the long run, so our mission is to help him 1 week at a time as we generate the proper resources & revenue to SECURE 6 MONTHS of shelter to see him OUT OF THE COLD THIS WINTER - By then I believe he will be reconnected back to the resources he will need to maintain living in the Long run.

If you have resources other than money that you would like to donate, please note that until he has somewhere to live - he can only carry a small amount in his cart.

I am believing that even though to most "he needs to fix himself" ... I am crazy enough to believe that even though some people have given up on life inside- true love is the power that can restore their brokenness physically, mentally,  emotionally and spiritually.

My Personal Connection:
"I've sat with Joe & Gotten to know him for over 2 years now & HE IS NOT AN ALCOHOLIC (My observation after 2 years of never seeing, smelling or him asking for it) . Yes he chooses to have nothing, chain smoke cigarettes, sleep on benches and walk the streets- but that is a POVERTY mindset that exists all throughout this Community and Country (In different shapes & sizes)

The guy is tormented mentally... on his bad days, I just show him love because that's what we all need when we are at our lowest. On his Good days, I show him love, talk to him about options on Conquering, ask for his needs, offer a ride out the rain etc why? Well because thats what we all need - a hand when ours arent working well.

Some people are not as fortunate as others. Some people have better financial literacy, came from, 2 parent, stable homes, lived totally different lives than others meaning 1 persons "rock bottom" could totally different than the next.

One thing is for sure- if you dont have compassion in your soul for someone who is lost in darkness then don't talk to him - PERIOD - because it is not always some happy parade -

And yes - he isnt a huge fan of mcdonalds- why because it is known to be processed junk. (Not saying we dont all eat it anyway)

But, Just because you are homeless doesn't mean you have to not have a preference on what is going in your body and what is not.

Especially since - if he didnt ask you for food, but you ASSUMED he is Hungry, and he REJECTS your ASSUMED OFFERING- how can we truly get angry? Why not ASK FIRST, Take a gentle moment IF YOU TRULY CARE.

This winter, The guy needs somewhere to keep him warm. We have talked about Oaks of Righteousness (which is an awesome place) - but in his MIND - that cart is his home and if he cant keep it next to him at all times , he believes his belongings (the little he has) wont be protected. He is also "different" around others - so being around 100 people would be pretty intimidating after isolation for so long.. No excuses - I am pointing out what I have learned..

Its stupid right? But so is the thought of a smoking doctor.

We know that every one of us has darkness inside that we work to overcome daily... unfortunately joe went a LONG TIME LOSING - and has given up inside of himself.

If we genuinly have compassion in our hearts - let us not focus on his broken mind or calloused surface & start focusing on mending the broken heart OR connecting him to the right resources that can help.

I was lost, homeless, on drugs, felon and broken in this community at 1 time - But ya know what?

Even when people turned their backs or gave up on me ever "getting better" - GOD seen through that, his Spirit lead me out & now I am Almost 8 years free of that lifestyle that was once almost my destruction.

Moral of the Story - PEOPLE CAN CHANGE.

No-one is asking anyone for ANYTHING. But if you have an abundance, excess or something you want to pour into someone's life - then do it because its in your heart not because of ANYTHING ELSE.

To all who have been affected by Joe's Rough Moments (meanness, cursing or rejection) I I genuinly pray that you forgive him for his brokeness & Let the Light shine into your heart so that you don't carry a negative perception of a man that is at his lowest...because that is wicked at its core...

I have had to recieve this very same correction myself when I first started getting ti know Joe...

He is just a man PUBLICLY AT ROCK BOTTOM.

People complain about hard earned money (which i understand since I am married, 4 children & grandson ), but the same people will repeatedly put money in church plates weekly and consider that more worthy than blessing a real life, walking, talking - broken human being in need of the same SAVIOR AS YOU-_-

If you want to "give to God" then find someone who has nothing and be a Kingdom Blessing - for then you are truly "Giving to God" Matthew 25:40

But it all boils down to where your heart is ..

The guy is in a rough place, it is his fault, he needs to change before anyone can change him but the truth - the winter will be here soon & homeless people do freeze to death yearly.

I am not saying you should do anything about it ...but anything you do should be out of Love & Compassion.

Because some people are just losing to life and are giving up hope :( - if I could do more financially, I would cure his homelessness and not ask anything from him - Because I know That My God shall always supply all of Our Needs according to HIS RICHES in Glory through Christ.

Maybe I am just crazy though - To love those who dont deserve it... "

And May God Bless all those who stand with the vision of Joe's restoration.
