Help Jenn: Human Trafficking Victim

    
Time is short. Jenn and her family need your help right now.

Jenn is a human trafficking victim who was abused by pimps and by the men who paid them to have sex with her.

Jenn needs dental care. Her son has special educational needs. They are in danger of losing their home. And many nights, "we just eat Ramen Noodles."

As a victim of this crime, the intimidation, torture, rape, and outright slavery went on for several months. Recently, Jenn bravely told her story to Connecticut Legisltors , "It has left permanent scars on my life and my family. It is a nightmare I relive every day."

Now, Jenn and her young family need your help to find sustainable housing, pay medical bills, and meet their basic needs.

After her pimp was arrested, Jenn was the key witness in the Federal trial of United States versus Dennis Paris . Her testimony against Paris helped law enforcement put him away for thirty years.

"When the trial was over," Jenn told lawmakers, "I was naïve in thinking that my nightmare was over as well. It wasn't. While I was no longer forced to have sex with several men each day, I had now become the victim of a criminal justice system that promised me a new life after I testified against my pimp in open court. Once the trial was over, everyone who had guaranteed me assistance to regain my life - local, state and federal agencies, advocacy groups, and individuals - abandoned me. After all I had been through - enslaved by a pimp, drug addiction, sexual assault, and the terror of going through a trial - I was left alone."

All on her own, Jenn got clean, attended college, married and now has two beautiful children. 
But now, they need your immediate assistance to get them back on their feet. Jenn is in urgent need of dental care. Her five year old son has educational needs that are not being met. They may lose their home. And, "our refrigerator is empty because we can't afford to go shopping."
