Help Houseless people survive the Snowpocalypse

Donation protected
Olympia, Washington is a a city of less than 60,000 peoples. Right now, the streets are empty because of a snow storm. Most people are in their houses looking at it through their windows,  staying warm and dry. For 1000+ people in our community, that is not an option; they are in tents, makeshift shelters, and alcoves of businesses.

There are over 1000 people in Olympia deprived of housing. Living outside without any other option is tough even in the best of weather. Tonight and the next week, the blizzard will continue and subject houseless people to especially dangerous conditions. For some people the blizzard is merely an inconvenience but for others it is a matter of life and death.

Mutual aid Mondays is a weekly mass gift giving day at the biggest autonomous houseless camp in Olympia. Every week on Monday, blankets, clothes, socks, food, hygiene supplies, tents, tarps, and other necessities of life are pooled together and given away. It is a coalition between Just Housing, Olympia Assembly, Olympia Solidarity Network, Olympia Community Medics, and the Olympia Branch of the IWW, and caring neighbors. We are organizing an emergency supply drive in response to the weather conditions and business as usual. Our goal is to have everyone survive this storm.
