Paradise Kids - Heal the heartache
Hi friends and family, for the next couple of months I will be volunteering for Paradise Kids and I want to raise as much money I can before the end of September!
Paradise Kids is a not for profit community based charity, which helps children to deal with the loss of a parent or sibling through death, divorce, suicide, separation, abuse or imprisonment, as well as children dealing with their own terminal illness or trauma. Paradise Kids has provided an abundance of support for families within our community over the past 21 years. The government does not financially support Paradise Kids because the children are not all involved in domestic violence. Therefore, the charity relies solely on the generous and faithful support of volunteers, donors, and sponsors. This year has been difficult for Paradise Kids because they can no longer afford to employ paid workers, which means cutting back on group sessions and turning desperate families away.
Paradise Kids changes the lives of so many families and I want to give back to this wonderful charity who does so many fabulous things for our community.
My request of you is simple - help me raise much needed funds to advance our pursuits. Every cent raised goes directly to purchasing supplies needed to sustain the grief and loss support groups or towards helping terminally ill children. Any donation is greatly appreciated and anything greater than $2 is tax deductible (we can provide a tax receipt if you wish). You can also donate directly to Paradise Kids on their website, or I can accept cash donations. $2,000 will help cover the cost of caring for 20 kids for an entire term! Whilst $3,000 can support a family with a terminally ill child in the facilties' holiday house.
