My name is Carlos.
Up until 5 months ago I held a full-time job and was the sole provider for my one year old son and his mother. I didn't make a lot of money, but it was enough to allow us to survive. In late January I fell, injuring my shoulder, and have been unable to work ever since.
Because of my inability to work, my family has been forced to move several times in the last few months. We've lived in several hotels, stayed with friends and acquaintances. We were fortunate enough to rent a room for a reasonable price, but we are currently facing homelessness once again.
While I am actively seeking a job at this time, my family is in dire need of help now. The money we had saved is gone, and we are facing eviction at the end of this month(April 2018).
By helping us reach our funding goal, you will be giving us the ability to pay rent, and purchase clothes for our son, and find transportation to assist with locating a new job.
Getting the means to do these things would really help us get moving in the right direction. We are very grateful to any help those of you reading this are able to provide. We are also interested in any other alternatives or resources you might be able to make known to us.
