Help George Get to Georgia

This is George. A couple times I've seen him in outside the CVS in Davis Square, drawing and coloring these drawings with the most vibrant colors. I sat down and talked to him for an hour or so today while he drew because I didn't have any cash on me to give to him. He told me that he draws pictures and sells them for money because he's tired of just receiving from people. He told me he's been homeless for 6 years, since he was 18, and is now living in a park nearby. He's pushed through 3 blizzards here in just a tent and blankets. He currently pays someone just so he can use their shower for 30 minutes. 

When I asked him about his future plans, he was excited to mention that his daughter was going to be born in about 2 weeks in Georgia (!!) His friend was able to get him a trailer home down and he had saved ~$400 out of the $500 he needed for the deposit so he could get down there to see his daughter's birth -- but someone recently stole all of the money he saved along with his phone. Even though he was quite obviously upset in the moment, he said he doesn't blame the person who stole the money, because there's really nothing he can do about it. He said the same thing about his mother, even though she was the reason why he is homeless today. 

I decided to offer to make a GoFundMe page for him so I could help him raise the money a bit faster and hopefully get him to Georgia before his daughter is born! George also said that if people donated $10, he'd be willing to take commissions and draw something for you.  Of course, even a dollar or two will be extremely helpful and George will be very grateful as well :) If you can't spare any money, a share counts too to help get the word out.
