Help for the Jennings
Donation protected
Stacie Vaughn-Jennings has been my dear friend for over 22 years and has faced more challenges, struggles, and loss than anyone I know. The Jennings recently welcomed their third child, Sullivan Jennings, to this world at 1 pound 9 ounces at 25 weeks, 15 weeks premature.
When Stacie first told me she was pregnant, I was so excited for her family! At 11 weeks pregnant, the doctors discovered that Stacie had a subchorrionic hematoma. She was eventually admitted into the hospital. The doctors tried to keep Sully in the womb for as long as they could, but eventually Stacie had a placental abruption. The amount of blood loss put Stacie and Sully both in so much danger that the doctors had to do an emergency C-section to save both of their lives. Sullivan is considered a micro-preemie and is facing a long road of healing and recovery. He has already suffered a pulmonary hemmorhage and infection. He has a strong and feisty spirit, though, and is fighting his way through this!
Stacie, Mike, Charly, and Olive are trying their hardest to stay positive and adapt to this new life on the NICU roller coaster. As Stacie's best friend, I can see the first hand the struggles they are having both financially and not having a support system of help with living in a new city.
I don't think Stacie would ever ask her help herself, but I know they truly truly need it. Anything and everything will help! Thank you for considering donating to this amazing family and please share with anyone and everyone!
