Help Emma Study in Canada for a Year!

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Emma and I’m a Junior at a human sciences high school in Bergamo, Italy.
I really love school, and not only thanks to my top grades but especially because of the stimulating challenge it represents every day.

Some would say I am a simple person and in fact I like things like my grandparents, dawns and sunsets, pancakes, dogs, movies, photography and mountain hiking. What I value most though is good, gentle people with enough generosity for volunteering and helping the less fortunate, be it stray dogs, elderly people or refugees.

I leave any shyness behind when it comes to work towards a goal I believe in, I want to leave my own mark in the world one day by helping my fellow humans and I am determined to become an international attorney specialized in human rights. That's why I need to work towards being admitted at the best possible law school abroad and I think I should start right now with planning my next high school year overseas.
This way I can improve my English in the only truly effective way, I can have a meaningful and life-changing experience and accumulate very good grades and credits for my future university applications.

And here is where Canada comes into the picture: I fell in love with this wonderful country when I was in middle school and I couldn’t think of a place that felt more like home that Ontario. I keep updated about everything that happens over there, from politics to culture to nature conservation, I basically try to live there even if I have not had the chance to be there in person so far.

To me Canada does not only mean great outdoors, beautiful cities and quaint towns and villages: it is more about hardworking, honest and friendly people who I feel I have lots in common with. It is about cultural diversity, tolerance and inclusion, strong community values and the possibility to develop my best self.

Last year my family and I had to move from a village in the countryside to a bigger town, so I can’t afford the entire cost of my exchange year because my parents also have to take care of my two siblings and they are still struggling with the mortgage of our apartment. They have met and fallen in love while working on the other side of the pond so they totally share my wish and are ready to make sacrifices to support me with airfare, but it is really as far as they can go. I am cutting ALL expenses and looking for any possible job but here it is not easy to find one at my age.

That's why I am asking for your help!
I'm hoping you can see my good will and the potential in me, and that you can share my enthusiasm for this project.
Any contribution, however small, will add a significant piece to the building of my future.
Thanks a lot already and I will keep you posted on my progress!
