Abandoned baby in Prague

Hi

Tamie and I would like to thank everyone who reads this story. If you can see the picture we posted along with this story, then you're looking at the most beautiful clump of clay, known to us as Bungle Bee. Don't let your concerns grow just yet. It's merely a nickname. Her given name is Teresa. Presently, she is 10 months old. She was born and lives in Prague, Czech Republic with Tamie our dog Sno-pea and myself. Although we are not nationals of the Czech Republic, we are all she has ever known as family. Her mother, only months pregnant and being evicted from her flat (Tamie invited her to stay in our guest room) abandoned Teresa while she was in our care when Teresa was only a few months old. We have not seen nor heard from Teresa's mom in over 5 months and though we await her return, we would never willingly relinquish care of Teresa to her mother knowing what she is capable of, yet we can not find it in ourselves to give her up to a government run facility. It's an atrocity that brings with it the visual of a bewildered, confused and panicked little girl reaching with outstretched arms to us as we willingly turn our backs to walk away. She's innocent. Without the capacity to hurt anything or anyone. She is not deserving of this life. I am a callused, 51 year old man who has seen and done a lot of things that I'm not proud of, yet this little girl has stripped me of all pride. So humbled, I can't put into words. I can say she has re-hydrated my tear ducts. Her smile makes hearts grow. Without shame I make no effort in telling everyone I cry as I write her story knowing I no longer have the ability to protect her from what she does not yet know exists. I can't stop the train as it heads for the end of the tracks. We have nothing left to sell, having already sold everything we own of value to stay here and care for her. We've borrowed. There aren't any avenues we haven't exhausted.. Her situation is dire, yet she looks up at me and smiles like I mean her no harm.

All we need is a small miracle. Not a big one, Just a small one. Small like little Bungle Bee. A healthy and happy baby girl who is surrounded by kindness and love. Someone, anyone who can help. I'm certain that some will read this story and say, “I can't do anything. I don't have the money to give”...I understand, but for those who believe they have nothing to give, all we ask is please, don't let her story die with you. Propel it. Keep it moving forward so it can reach those who can help in the ways which you can't. Teresa is magical. She found her champion in Tamie before she could walk or talk. If her story can travel and keep traveling, it will find the people she needs to continue on as her champion. Please, don't let her story die with you. Tell someone. Anyone. Tell someone you don't like, it does not matter. What does matter is what you do after your done reading her story. Help will keep her out of harms way and untouched which means she'll remain a little clump of clay. She deserves the chance to pursue happiness. Isn't that what we all wanted. What most of us got was having to deal with childhood issues for the first 20 years of our adult lives. Our hope is that Teresa will be one of the lucky ones who can say to themselves “This is me and I love myself, inside and out. Nothing will ever change that”.

We truly believe ”it takes a village to raise a child”. There ain't no village without the tribe that lives in the village, so we are officially starting the Unga Bungle Bee Tribe. We hope you'll join.

Things the Unga Bungle Bee Tribe needs are as follows.

The opportunity to work. Not Bungle Bee, me, Glenn. So if there is someone who can put in a good word to a production manger, much gratitude. As I've already stated, I'm without pride so I don't care where or who it comes from, just come...Be it legal advice to help us keep her in our care and out of an orphanage. She is also in need of any baby items (we have purchased the basics, but she is going to need some winter items as it gets cold in Prague) Ultimately you're the king of your castle, and we will be grateful for anything that could help give her a chance for a happy life...

From the Unga Bungle Bee Tribe (aka, Bungle Bee, Tamie and me.We hope it will soon grow in numbers)

again, thanks to everyone for your time spent thinking of others and please keep Tereasa in your thoughts and prayers.
