Dear friends and family of Amjed - in other words, his allies!
Amjed will be turning 30 soon (Feb 19th), and we want to make it very special for him. Since his injury, Amjed has not been able to participate in one of his favorite pastimes: gaming. Finding a way to help him reconnect with this hobby, and to have a greater sense of connectivity through use of a computer, has been on our minds a lot.
Fortunately we live at a time where invention is strongly focused on making technology accessible, and there is a product available that can give Amjed the kind of freedom we often take for granted.

QuadStick is a company that offers accessible computer and gaming products for quadriplegics. Since we know Amjed loves video games, our goal is to get him the QuadStick FPS, the company’s most advanced model, as well as the Magic Arm Mounting Kit, for greater flexibility and ease of use. Any remaining funds would be used for games and potentially additional hardware - for instance, a new gaming console. Please review the company’s website for further information.

According to the QuadStick website, orders have been taking about three weeks to process. As such, we might not be able to get him a QuadStick in time for his birthday, however we can at least give him the news should we meet our goal. Oh, and to be clear, this will be a SURPRISE!
