Help amazing Laurie Lawrence

We are raising money for our friend Laurie who is in the cardiac intensive care unit. She collapsed at work earlier this week and a team of doctors is working hard to heal her heart so she when she wakes up she will be the same feisty, passionate, generous, loving, talkative and talented Laurie that we know and love. We know that she will be worried about her out of pocket  expenses from being admitted to the hospital and when she refers to them we want her to know that they will be taken care of and all she has to do is heal so she can return to singing at the Duplex, traveling the world and volunteering her time at the myriad number of causes she feels passionate about. She has always been so generous with anyone (and I mean anyone) in need and we hope that in her time of need her amazing network of friends and family will help provide some comfort to her.

Thanks to the generosity of all of Laurie's friends and family members we have collected enough money to cover her out of pocket medical expenses.  Any additional donations collected will be used to create a scholarship program in honor of Laurie for adolescents participating in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City program.  Laurie participated in this organization for 15 years!

Thank you for all of your support in honor of our amazing and inspiring friend.  We are all so lucky to have been touched by her.
