Help Adam Walk Again

My Adam is an exuberant 20-year-old with an infectious laugh and a witty sarcasm, he was working toward his graduation which would have been this upcoming January. After graduation, Adam was on track to enter the nursing program at UCF where he would pursue his passion of empowering others to take control over their health and quality of life. However, on September 29, 2016 all of his life plans were dramatically altered due to a near fatal motorcycle accident.
I remember sitting there by his bedside while he was fighting for his life, watching my child suffer through intense pain and feeling so very helpless. His injuries include Epidural Hematoma (TBI), Spinal Injuries, Lacerated Spleen removal, Scapula Fractures (both), fractures in his neck, broken ribs, pelvis fractures, severe pulmonary contusions, Intraventricular Hemorrhages, Sacral Fracture, Brachial Plexus injury and blood in his spinal canal. In addition, Adam has also been the recipient of many Blood Transfusions during his hospitalization at ORMC Hospital in Orlando Florida.
This medical expense fund raiser is strictly for the transport of Adam to Sheppard Center which is located in Atlanta, GA. In order to have the opportunity to walk again, Adam needs to receive acute rehabilitation. The Sheppard Center provides the best care in the nation for Adam, due to specializing in the treatment and care of an individual suffering from his multiple spinal and brain injuries. Receiving the treatment Adam desperately requires will keep him away from home for an extended period of time. Adam is insured through our insurance; however, this insurance will not cover the cost of transporting him to an out of state rehabilitation facility.
Time is of the essence and we are asking for help to get Adam to Atlanta so he can recover from this horrific motorcycle accident and be able to walk again. All donations are greatly appreciated and bring us one step closer to our goal. We can’t thank you enough for your generosity and prayers.
