Help a Murder Victim's Father

My oldest brother had come to visit family here in Mississippi. He had no job and had lost his home, but he did hold onto a small savings which he had planned to put toward housing when he returned to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Right after returning home, his youngest son was shot 4 times in the parking lot near the Family Dollar.  He was listed as critical and unstable. Hospital staff were able to stop the bleeding and repair his pericardium and diaphragm. Ultimately, he passed on Monday night, October 30th. During that time, my brother was living off of the money that he had placed in savings. Now he is faced with no home, no job, and having to lay his youngest son to rest. It is customary to send condolences in cards and flowers but I could not, within myself, justify spending money on flowers or cards when my brother is in such financial need right now. I had to enter a goal when I opened this account. I honestly don't have a goal.  I had to enter a category. I entered "other" because this money may be used for funeral expenses or medical expenses. It may even be used for legal expenses if, God willing, the person who committed this crime can be brought to justice. I only ask that whoever sees this will pray. Give if you feel led to give. And if you do not feel led to give, please say a prayer for my brother to find strength and peace, and for my nephew's killer to come to justice.
