Help a young man get brakes

There is a a young man I know who needs a little help right now. He's married with a baby and a car with no brake pads and potentially shot rotors.
I can do the work on the car, but would love it if some of you would be willing to help pay for the parts. The $400 figure comes if he needs brakes and rotors all around and a fluid swap. I haven't measured the rotors, but based on what I'm hearing, it may be too late to lathe them. Any financial help would be fantastic, especially around the holidays.
I hope to have the resources in place by Dec. 5 so I can do it before I skip town for Christmas travels.
Any leftover funds will be given to his family to help buy gas. Sorry I'm not giving anyone his name, but he is someone I know and trust. He has a job, but as many of you know, it's tough enough for many to pay for food and rent, let alone unplanned car repairs.
