**UPDATE 5/15/17**: My parents have a little more time until the fate of their house is sealed but not much. They were able to buy a little bit more of time.
My name is Hallie and I'm trying to help save my parents house so they don't become homeless! PLEASE HELP! This is their story...
Long ago my parents were young (early 20s) and decided to buy their first home - but first they needed a loan. Little did they know the mortgage company they got the loan from were a bunch crooks and it turned out to be a balloon loan or crooked loan. After years the house was finally paid off (or so they thought). They found out (too late) that they were scammed and another whopping $60,000 was added onto their total mortgage which they have to pay back ASAP or they lose their house, their rescue dogs, and end up homeless. They went to court about a month ago and found out there was nothing they could do because their wasn't enough evidence against this mortage company who gave them the false loan and they said because too many years had passed since they took out the loan. They trusted this company to start their life together in their first home and were let down..
This home is my parents everything and they have lived in it for 24 years. They are absolutely devastated and I'm trying anything in my power to help them. I'm just a 24 year old daughter with her own problems and if I could give them the money right out of my pocket I would do so in a heart beat! My parents have worked hard all their lives just to lose everything and I don't think they deserve that. My dad is currently the only income as my mom is sick and he had to be laid off for a little while because he found out he had cancer and had to have surgery which made money all the more of a struggle to pay towards the loan. Currently he is cancer free - thank goodness.
I'm not trying to get anyones pity and it was hard to come to the conclusion that they need help - desperately. I know this is late but they just found out very recently that nothing else could be done for them and their house is to be lost. Please help - if I get this money now then I can still save their home! I will be more than grateful if I can get the money in time and whoever is out there reading this and donates the money you are the reason people can make such a difference in someone else's life. Thank you so much!! People like you are the reason my parents will be able to breathe again and live in the home they worked so hard to keep.
