Healing Your Heart TFMR Retreat

Often people want to know where they can send money to help support families like mine who lost their loved and wanted babies and pregnancies via termination for medical reasons.  Of course, you can always donate to NAF or directly to clinics, buthere's one very personal way your money can reach a grieving mother.

I will be hosting a retreat for TFMR moms in July.  Especially now, when the political climate is so very hostile, it is important for women to meet each other, face-to-face, and be held in community.  Not everyone comes from a place where it is safe to seek this kind of connection.  Some will have to pay for travel on top of the retreat fee if they want to come.  We have priced the retreat at cost, however the expense may still be prohibitive for many, especially after having to scramble for cash to cover urgent medical care, or getting bills when insurance turns us down. 

Money raised will be applied in this order: 

First, making sure the retreat can still happen even if we don't get quiteenough people to sign up.  This will cover the empty beds and let us move forward with a smaller group.  We won't have to cancel.

If we get enough participants, or get more money than we need to cover the beds, we can apply more money as financial assistance to those who want to come.  

And if everyone is able to come at a price that works, and we still have more money, we will apply it to our deposit and the next retreat that we host.

$3600 is the total cost of renting the retreat center, so if we are so fortunate as to raise the entire amount in donations, the retreat will be accessible to all, and if by some miracle we raise more, we will pay it forward to building even more opportunities for support.  But every little bit counts and even if we can't raise thousands, we can still help meet women with the love and understanding that they deserve after losing their babies.
