Fighting For Our Water, Our Life!

Hello All!

I am Vanessa Castle. I am a member of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe from Port Angeles, WA.

Standing Rock has made the call, and I am answering. All of my friends and family who cannot go have obligations, families to feed, jobs to attend.  I have nothing holding me back, so I will go. I will travel to Standing Rock to stand PEACEFULLY to protect our water and to protect our ancestors and sacred sites. I represent all of the people who cannot go.

I was enrolled in college full time, and I made the choice to withdraw from my classes. Unfortunately, I forfeited tuition because it was too late in the quarter. 

With me, I will be bringing my songs, dances, prayers and as much supplies as I can fit in my car to help keep the Water Protectors warm with the approaching winter. 

The money will be used on my trip there and for supplies for winter.

-Scarfs
-Gloves
-and food

I am leaving on October 29th after officially withdrawing from my college classes to join the fight to protect Mother earth for our future generations.
