We at HAUS Salon are honored to be partnering with The American Refugee Committee. Our efforts are focused in the Nu Po Refugee camp on the border of Thailand and Myanmar and training hairdressers living in the camp to spot signs of domestic violence and to provide victims of domestic violence the resources they need.

The HAUS Salon team is helping ARC add a layer of business development to the program by co-creating an educational workshop that will update the technical and business management skills of the hairdressers living and working in the Nu Po camp. We will travel to Thailand to deliver this educational opportunity and build the skills of these hairdressers who are leading their community fight domestic violence.

The money we are raising will be a donation to the American Refugee Committee. A team from HAUS Salon will join ARC in Thailand to facilitate the workshop we've created together. In addition, ARC will use the funds to help grow the program to build the skills of Nu Po's hairdressers as they step up to fight domestic violence.

At HAUS Salon we are passionate about our craft, the relationships we have with our clients and we strive to stay ahead of the curve in our industry by being continually committed to education. We are honored and grateful for the opportunity to share what we've learned and developed with our fellow hairdressers in Thailand. We are working with ARC in Thailand from April 22 to April 29, 2016.

ARC's mission statement:

'ARC works with its partners and constituencies to provide opportunities and expertise to refugees, displaced people and host communities. We help people survive conflict and crisis and rebuild lives of dignity, health, security and self-sufficiency. ARC is committed to the delivery of programs that ensure measurable quality and lasting impact for the people we serve.’

We are honored to announce that HAUS is partnering with The American Refugee Committee in the Nu Po Refugee Camp in Thailand.

Domestic violence is a universal issue and as hairdressers we create a safe place for people to open up about their experiences with it. The ARC trains hairdressers living and working in the Nu Po camp to spot signs of domestic violence and to offer victims of domestic violence the resources they need to get help.
With The ARC, HAUS is co-creating a new program which will provide modern haircutting, styling and salon business training to our fellow hairdressers living in the Nu Po Refugee camp in Thailand.

The money we are raising will be a donation to ARC. A team from HAUS Salon will join ARC in Thailand to facilitate the workshop we've created together. In addition, ARC will use the funds to help grow a program to build the skills of Nu Po's hairdressers as they step up to fight domestic violence.
