Harston Traffic Island

This grim patch of gravel and weeds is the northern gateway to Harston, a rural village just south of Cambridge on the A10. For years, residents have been asking that something is done about this unloved traffic island which greets everyone travelling south as they enter the village. We hope that improvements in this ares will disincentivise littering whilst creating a new green space which aids biodiversity and absorbs pollution. 

Harston Parish Council and Cambridgeshire County Council have collectively raised ~£4,000 towards improvements, but a further £3,000 is needed. See our blog for details.
