China, Harbin dog rescue volunteering
Donation protected
In September last year my beautiful bulldog boy Angus was diagnosed with lymphoma he was only 4. We fought, we tried, he was so brave but in December he lost his battle with this horrible disease. He was lucky enough to have pet insurance and access to all the medical care it didn’t save him but he had the best chance and didn’t suffer.
During this time I came across a post on Facebook about an organization, who rescues dogs in China off of meat trucks, I saw an image of 15 bulldogs in a cage. I promised Angus I’d go and help. So in February this year I headed over to Harbin and volunteered with Harbin SHS and then flew 5 rescue dogs to their forever homes in San Francisco. On my return the magnitude of the problem in
China hit me as a result I lasted 8 days 18hrs before I applied for long service leave and arranged to go back for a further 5 weeks including a fly in fly out trip to LA to take over the bullies we rescued last trip to their forever homes, to finish their freedom journey.
Im raising funds to obtain much needed supplies, medicines, food and to fly these awesome dogs out on their freedom flight from China to the USA where I’ll be met by some incredible rescue organisation last and foster carers for dogs like Pearl and Angus.
The ladies at Harbin SHS do an incredible job. It is not sustainable without the assistance of volunteers and donations. Thanks for all your help
