WHO IS HAN COOK IN?
Han Cook In means "Corean (=Korean)" or "I'm a Corean." Owner and chef Lucy, after moving to the United States, decided to pursue the American dream Corean style! She's not here to climb the corporate ladder, or make the executive of a company, she's here to make friends and make people happy by serving up hearty, delicious Corean food! Let's share the love by helping Lucy fulfill her dream to bring bold Corean food to Lexington! We can't make it alone, so let's work together so that Lucy can make customers happy with her food.
In the five short months since chef Lucy opened her Corean restaurant Han Cook In, she has already begun making waves locally and nationally. Last month, Seo made her debut on the Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games, hosted by Guy Fieri.
This episode, titled Spice Masters , pit chefs from across the world known for their spicy cuisine head-to-head in a competition that tests their abilities under the pressure of being watched by millions of Food Network viewers.
Even though that it doesn't published in town, so many people doean't know about it.
She is also domestic violence surviver, and went through a lot of bad situation in U.S..
However, she never give up! Very strong , and sweet lady. She is a big Christian.

WHAT HAPPENED?
After spending the past year in a tiny yellow food buggy, it's time the next level, it's time to feed more people and make more food.
But She needs your help. As you know, opening a restaurant takes a lot of money. Lucy's already all in. She's invested all her personal finances and a business loan into the new restaurant.
But even with all this, she still needs more. The money we raise from this www.GoFunMe.com/hancookinlucy
go to help pay for a new sign ($5,000) Han Cook In doesn't have original sign, a liquor license ($2,000), a little help to pay off equipment and the physical location ($22,000+).
Many people doesn't know about Corean Food.
And, it's hard to advertising this new Corean food restaurant with bad money situations.
Specially, many people trying to take advantage of
of Lucy already, because she is new and foreigner
in this business here.
Lucy runs this business all by herself.
She doesn't have any family, any relative, and any support in U.S..

In addition to these costs Lucy has plans on starting her own new project later on down the road. And let's not mention all of the unexpected expenses that come along the way!

WHY SHOULD YOU SUPPORT? BECAUSE THE FOOD IS AAAMAZING!!! AND HEALTHY!!!
Seriously. Described as a comfort food, Corean dishes includes Galbi (ribs), Bibimbap, Noodles, and etc.
Hearty and healthy, Lucy's food isn't just delicious, it's really fresh. In Corea, the freshness of the food is the most important part of the cuisine, hence, it's usually much healthier than other fast-casual dining options! Specially, She makes her OWN SAUCES!!!
 EVERYTHING with her magic hand!
KEEP IT FRESH. KEEP IT LOCAL
Supporting other local brands is important to Han Cook In's mission to source fresh local foods to customers. For this reason, Han Cook In is Kentucky Proud certified and sources other local and KY proud brands including such as Weisenberge , High Bridge water , Integritea , Critchfield meat , and etc.
Whenever she can purchase of a liquor lisence, she planing to manke her traditional RICE WINE, and she has very creative ideas with it.

FUTURE DREAMS
By supporting in her next step, you're not only helping with a new Corean restaurant, you're giving her a foundation to build a bigger, more exciting vision.
Not only does Lucy want to open a restaurant, she wants bring her vision of Corean food all across Lexington by expanding into two, brand new food buggies!
A Kentucky blue buggy serving up Corean BBQ all over (to meet growing demand) and a little red buggy to serve her new project item. But that's not all!
Lucy plans on expanding her restaurant from a sit down dining experience, to a "Corean food center."
Building off the street food concept, where customers can see the food being prepared, she wants to create a one-stop-shop where you can get all your favorites at individual stands. Similar to a food court, the center will host several chefs, all in their own "stands" preparing their own signature dishes. Based off centers in Corea, Lucy wants to bring the Corea dining experience to Lexington!

THANK YOU!
We want to offer our deepest thanks to you for visiting our GoFunMe page or for donating. We are VERY excited for everything Lucy has planned and with your help, we believe this dream can happen! There's nowhere to go but up from here on out, and we want to thank you for making that possible.

We hope to see you at "Han Cook In" in the future!

Risks and challenges
Of course there is always a lot of risk in the restaurant industry, that's a granted. But we're confident that Lucy and her staff can overcome any hurdles that come their way.
Once the brick and mortar restaurant is paid for and keeping customers happy, Lucy's next big challenge is to start new projects (like making Corean adult ice cream) and opening new locations.
Lucy's #1 goal is to share the love by bringing Lucy's Creative food to as many people as she can.
So she hopes to maintain her food quality, bring in more and more customers, and help expand her brand beyond just this location.
Lucy is very excited for the future, and believes she can overcome any obstacle that comes her way.
We hope that you will be a part of Lucy's mission as she moves forward!
