WHO WE ARE
Our names are Peter and Phillip Hall, twin brothers and overall normal dudes who just so happen to be filmmakers. We originally hail from central Arizona but now find ourselves living in sunny southern California as we work towards achieving our shared dream of making enduring feature films. We moved to California five years ago to attend film school and, having graduated, we now work part-time to help fund our projects as well as to keep our lights on. Over the years we've made and worked on dozens of short films and through it all our love and knowledge of filmmaking has only grown stronger. We live and breathe filmmaking, both as an art form but also as an industry. We are undeniably passionate about making this craft our careers and we are charging ahead at full speed to make that happen. Since being out of school we've shot a short film that is now currently in post-production and we're very excited about an opportunity that has just come our way...
WHAT WE ARE DOING
We are so excited to share that we have been selected to participate in an internship at the ultra-prestigious Cannes Film Festival in southern France in May 2016. This internship is organized by the Creative Mind Group, an organization dedicated to connecting young filmmakers with the professional industry that supports them. CMG partners interns with some of the industry's top agencies and production companies and lets them witness first hand how films are developed, bought, sold, and screened at one the world's largest film festivals. The Cannes Film Festival fits that description and then some. Since its founding in 1947, Cannes has become one of the most esteemed and active film festivals in the world, showcasing films from all around the globe as well as providing a beautiful venue for industry professionals to make some of the biggest deals in the buisiness. It has always been a dream of ours to simply attend the Cannes Film Festival and we are beyond stoked that we now have the opportunity to not only go to the festival but to participate and work with the professionals there as well.
WHY WE NEED HELP
Creative Minds is an awesome organization that opens a lot of doors to its participants. However, all the costs associated with such an experience fall to the participant. The door has been opened, but you will need to pay to walk through it. The cost primarily breaks down into two parts. First, CMG has a tuition fee that is used to cover lodging, festival passes, and other amenities and resources for while we are in France. Secondly, the tuition fee does not cover airfare to and from Cannes. Those costs also fall to the participant and, unfortunately, plane tickets to Europe are not cheap. We are so blessed to have already received some financial aid from CMG, which is a great sign of support from them, but there is still a ways for us to go in order to cover all the costs of this experience. Plus, being a twin filmmaking team, the cost for this internship is doubled. One tuition fee alone would be hard for our network of family and friends to support, but with two it is nearly impossible.
With all the planning and coordination that needs to happen between now and May, CMG requires payment from its participants well ahead of the actual film festival. Half of our tuition fee is due on JANUARY 15, 2016 with the other half due a month later on FEBRUARY 12, 2016. Both of us considered, what this means is that we need to have $2,600 in a little over two weeks and another $2,600 a month after that. Once again, this cost will be impossible for our friends and family to shoulder on their own within such a short timeframe.

First and foremost, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we work towards trying to make this dream happen. Inevitably we're going to be under a lot of stress as we go through this process and support in the form of kind words and prayer goes a long way.
