People have been asking me where the money will be going. The money collected here will not be spent on tickets, for our group, but will go to help the people in Haiti!
Expected expenses:
1. Construction of homes (Check out our plans below)
2. Distributing food
3. Medical Asistance
On October 4th, 2016, Hurricane Matthew struck the southern portion of the impoverished country, Haiti. The aftermath of the Hurricane has left many Haitians homeless and starving. In an international report done by the United Nations, more than 141,000 people have been left displaced and moved to temporary shelters. Haiti needs OUR support.
Haiti is the most poverty stricken country in the world! Coincidentally, it was the first country that SFG Youth Ministries, Inc. started providing missionary aid to all the way back in 2001. The Haitians are stricken by the false system of voodoo, an inept education system, and are forced to survive off of foreign hand outs. Its geographical location places it constantly under a double threat of of hurricanes and earthquakes. These catastrophes damage the almost non-existent infrastructure that is there. Consequently, a lot of wise and strategic work needs to be done to address the issues that are present here.
Therefore from December 30 to January 14, 2017 a mission trip is being organized to Haiti with a group of over 75 people. There are four goals for this mission trip: (1) to help with hurricane relief efforts (2) provide food to people in need (3) provide medical assistance, and (4) work with kids.
