Cat Chat Coventry local help fund

Cat Chat Coventry is a small Facebook group for local people who love cats to make friends and share advice and stories.
June 2016, we were asked by a local charity if we could go and visit a property where a woman was, to want of a better phrase, hoarding cats, none of which she owned. We were horrified at the sheer numbers of unneutered males, pregnant females and kittens in the one garden and we began a huge rescue which saw us neuter/spay 15 adults and rescue and re-home 16 kittens from the garden and 25 subsequently born. Since that time we have helped another 30+ cats and kittens. We rely solely on fundraising activities and the support of the wonderful people in our group.
We also often get requests for help from people who are temporarily housing strays where local charities are not able to assist, people trying to re-home their cats due to changes in personal circumstances, those with poorly cats etc. The group would like to be able to help out financially where possible and a fund raising team is keen to raise money through various fund raising efforts to help cats in need locally in Coventry UK. This may be supporting temporary fosterers with food or helping towards urgent vet bills.
Indeed vet bills have been our biggest expense and will continue to be so. This is an ongoing campaign to help with those costs.
