Train Set for Beaumont Royal Oak!

Hello! My name is Jacinta Hogan, and I am an Oxford Schools Early College(OSEC) student. In search of a way to give back this holiday season, OSEC stumbled upon a noble cause. The pediatric unit at Beaumont Royal Oak is in need of new toys, and desperate repair of their famous Thomas the Tank Engine train set. Years of play and fun have left the set worn down, and it is badly in need of a replacement.
OSEC is raising funds to purchase a new train set for the children. The set that Beaumont possesses is very expensive and can be bought for around $756.19. It is extremely hard to find and is a deluxe version, making it very valuable. We, OSEC, aspire to raise enough funds to purchase a brand new set and donate it to Beaumont's pediatric unit in Royal Oak, along with the toys from the toy drive that we are holding at Oxford High School. If possible, we would like to have the set purchased and assembled by Christmas day at the Hospital as a "present" for the kids.
Donating to this fund will mean so much. I know from personal experience the amazing care and love patients at Beaumont recieve. My sister Abby spent several weeks in the pediatric unit at Beaumont at the age of 7, and received excellent care and attention. Although in a lot of pain throughout the whole ordeal, she still talks about the train set and how much fun she had in the play room at the hospital. I feel that it is important to keep the tradition of the train table alive, and provide other children with the chance to have these memories.
