Young Food Activists sleep out

Growing Links works at the heart of our community here in Penzance, we are passionate about tackling food poverty.
At our community garden we run a youth group, The Young Food Activists aged between 11 and 16 and they want to raise money and awareness for the homeless and vulnerable here in penzance!
Our young people have set up a mini 'sleep out' and are looking for sponsorships to support them. They are working with film company Life Story Productions and Luk Stangroom, who made the Street Food Project documentary, to make a bigger impact by creating a documentary about young people making a stand! So much work has gone into this, the young people want to bring tents and sleeping bags to experience life in the place of someone with nothing. What an amazing gesture by a group of youngsters!
The sleep out will be held in Morrab gardens on 16th June 4-7pm. The group will be there making a noise, art work and banners to raise awareness for much needed support in our town.
They are working very hard and have thought up all this by themselves and we would love to be able to support their fundraising here online.
I have seen many go fund me pages supporting really great causes and this is one we should all encourage and support.
These teenagers are giving up their time to such a good cause, not only that, they are activists who we want to feel they can make a change in the world if they use their voice when they feel things aren't right. Little steps to make great changes and who knows what they will go on to achieve as adults!
Please support our youth group, all money will go to people who face hunger and food poverty in penzance!
Please donate here and also come down to the 'sleep out' 4-7pm Saturday 16th June make your voice heard and lets work together to make some noise about the very sad situation and lack of support many people face in poor community.
Please donate, just £5 will make a massive difference to the project and also support these young people to know with hard work and community we can make a difference and what a lesson to learn at this crucial point in their lives!
