Let's hug it out America!

Hey Friends,
Whether on a bike, in a car or seated at a cafe, I have done my best to enhance the world one hug and high5 at a time.
In the almost 16 years since my first ride, I’ve encountered thousands of people from every continent - sorry Antarctica:)- and while the - financial, physical and emotional - sacrifices made to do these trips have been incredibly tough on me; I am glad I elected to travel this "road less taken."
I’m glad because the interactions I’ve had have evolved me from being just a grieving guy on a bicycle into a man that can now embrace others and help them through their life's trials.
That said, the warmth received from embracing people in 31 states in 2016 AND my proclamation from Philadelphia Mayor, Jim Kenney , has emboldened me to plan my most epic road trip yet this summer where I will hug/high5 people in all 50 states!
The aim of this two-month driving tour is to bring people together with the powerful call of, “Let's hug it out America."
To ensure that I am not standing/hugging alone, I’ve joined forces with the good people of
•The Ronald McDonald House
•The Boots Campaign
•The Wounded Warrior Project
•Mission 22
•Cease Fire USA
•No Fail Mission
•The Betty Ford Clinics of America
•The Livestrong Foundation
•other charitable organizations
The historic Union League of Philadelphia is where I plan to begin and end my journey and right now I am configuring my route through the continuous 48 states using, University of Pennsylvania, professor Randy Olsen’s map ……I will plan my Alaska and Hawaii trips later.
I will drive across America and set up my "Hug Stations" at official sites like the Oklahoma City Memorial and small, local community places like the Pay N Take in Flagstaff Arizona, where hugs, smiles and kind words bind us tighter together every day.
I’ll admit it; a quick embrace and seemingly random hand slap may not sound like much in the grand scheme of things.
But, it's those huggin’ and high5in moments that are my part of the puzzle - and if each of us does our part; I do believe we can change the world:)
So, Let's hug it out America!
