Groove in the Park 2019

Groove in the park is a family community event in Bedford, Bedfordshire. This year, 2019, would be Groove in the Park's 3rd year running.
Unfortunately, while in the process of organising our third Groove in the Park event, on the 31st August, as part of the reorganizing of Community Centre Management, the subsequent funding earmarked to deliver this Community event is extremely likely to be lost. This reorganisation has put the event at risk and left us to identify alternative means to raise the funds to ensure Groove in the Park can run, and run safely.
We are local group of volunteers, made up from the individuals in the local community who want to serve others to Inspire everyone to see their potential, promote Achievement, and allow positive ambition to Thrive. The Groove in the Park is at risk if we cannot raise approximately £2,000 by end of July (possibly). Last year the people who attended Groove in the Park generously donated money to help us continue this year. Our event balance is £160 , and we need to raise approximately £2,000
Groove in the Park is purely for the Communities and Families of Bedford and the surrounding areas. It is a day for people to come together and relax, socialise, join together and have fun in the sun. The entertainment/music is provided by local talent who are looking for a platform to share their music. Last year we introduced a stage where the local talents of Bedford showcased themselves; it was a resounding success. We have an abundance of hidden talent all around Bedfordshire and the Groove in the Park offers everyone a platform, for free, to broadcast their music to both friends and strangers alike.
Since the beginning of the year we have had people asking us if Groove in the Park will be happening again. It is clear to us that the Community would like this local event to run and we are so happy that the people of Bedford enjoyed our past events and are looking forward to our next.
Bedford prides itself on its diverse community, and Groove in the Park embraces all cultures, bringing together and sharing in music, food, entertainment for all, and builds a community spirit through respect and happiness. We are reaching out to both the people of Bedford and people wider afield to help us make the third year a success, people from every community coming together to enjoy the last days of the Summer holidays, together, as one.
We are asking for kind donations to support this community-based event who would like to help us continue to build on previous years, and be part of something great.
