Grant Hall Window Repair

Donation protected
What some students do reflects on all of us, and in the eyes of onlookers, in the news, in conversations on the street, they will talk about the students in general. I hope to show with this campaign that we still care about one of our most iconic heritage buildings, and that we as a student community can still band together productively with a goal.

As a building originally funded by students more then a century ago (~$800,000 in today's money), with further student funding going towards updating the clock mechanism back in the 90s (reference) I think we have a duty as students to help uphold this spirit in relation to one of our most iconic buildings.

It doesn't matter if the university can pay for a window itself or not. This is about showing that we still care about our heritage, our campus, and our community. If every undergraduate student were to donate less then the cost of a beer at QP, then we'd have more than $20,000. I don't know how much a new window costs, but I think that would definitely be more then enough to fix the window and maybe even fix a few other things. No matter if we raise that much, or just a few hundred dollars, I'll go present this amount to the university on behalf of the students, all of them, no matter their views, opinions, and past actions. We're all Queen's students here. Let's show that we can still come together as Queen's students for what we care about.
