GOOD RUN ~ Sailing for Hope
On October 3-4 2016 Hurricane Matthew struck Haiti killing at least 1,300 people and leaving an estimated 35,000 homeless. Much of the death and destruction was reported in the south western peninsula. Many people have no access to clean water, let alone water for drinking. Our ship is equiped with a water maker, which has the capacity to produce up to 8 gallons/hr, converting salt water to fresh water. We will contribute our labor to building and gardening projects, as well as deliver essential supplies.
We are personally covering our own travel, food and boat preparation financial costs. Any assistance provided through Go Fund Me will go directly in good faith to the impacted people of Haiti.
Currently we are preparing the boat and collecting supplies to deliver. We hope to leave as soon as possible.
We are blessed to be in a position in our lives to offer this much needed assistance to the residents of Haiti. Our enthusiasm to do something beyond ourselves continues to push us forward. We are extremely grateful to anyone that would like to contribute in any way possible. Thank you also for your good energy and wishes which add wind to our sails...please join us from afar!!!
