"I am not going to decorate my beard in any way for the holidays. The men you are seeing in these articles are paid models. Now, if someone wants to pay me to do a photo shoot, my original statement could potentially be amended..."
That's how this got started. Next thing I know, my friend Joe has set up this account to raise money, with the condition that I donate 10% to my church. Neither of us thought this would raise any money.
Then we hit $50. I decided that if we were gonna raise this money, half of it needed to go to charity, too. Less than 24 hours later we hit the $400 mark, so I'm updating the fine print again:
-You can donate ANY amount.
-Donate $50 or more and you can choose a specific color of glitter (there will be as many photos in this shoot as I need to acommodate the number of $50+ donations).
-Donate $5 or more and you will get something out of this. I haven't figured out what or how, but you'll get some small gesture of my appreciation.
Where's your money going?
-A small percentage of the funds will be used to purchase supplies and compensate the photographer(s) for their time.
-The remaining funds will be split between my church and Week of Compassion (click here to learn more about WoC ).
Feel free to blow the lid off that $1000 cap. It was just the default goal when we didn't think there'd be anything over Joe's initial $10.
