Pj, Lindsey, & Kenzie Briggs Fund

This isn't my story, but it is a story about one of our very own local family.  For those of you that don't know PJ, Lindsey, and Kenzie Briggs here is a small chapter in their story of life as it is right now.  January 30, 2016 PJ went to the Dr and discovered he had pneumonia and fluid around his heart so he was scheduled for an ultrasound on his heart for the following Monday. Instead they did an EKG and sent him to the ER immediately. He was then sent to Murray Calloway County Hospital because he was showing signs of heart failure.  PJ did get an ultrasound and turns out they think he had a heart attack at some point.  PJ's heart is only functioning at 15% and he is no longer able to work to provide for his family.  He has Congestive Heart Failure.  They are trying to improve his heart through medicine and lifestyle changes. PJ also has to wear a vest that monitors his heart and could shock him back to life if need be.  Also, because of the poor blood flow his gallbladder is not functioning properly making him very sick , but because of his heart it is too risky to do the surgery to remove it and there is a possibility it could get better if his heart does.  PJ is having to file for disability temporarily until he can go back to work.  Lindsey is going to school, working, taking Kenzie(their beautiful daughter) back and forth to school and other activities and taking PJ to Dr. appointments while trying to just be there for them and keep everything going.  It was laid on my heart tonight that I needed to do something to help this sweet family out.  Lindsey and her family are putting their faith in the Lord to see them through and I know he will because he knows our needs before we do.  If you feel led to give I know it would be such a blessing to them to be able to keep their home, pay their bills, gas, Dr. appointments, etc.  We all know what it is like to go through a rough patch and friends and fellow community I feel the need to share this small chapter in their life with others that want to give just a small token of God's love for us to help each other in times of need. Thank you for taking the time to read as I know PJ, Lindsey, and Kenzie will be forever grateful for any prayers, thoughts, monetary donations, etc. that you are able to give.
