Giving Soccer Gear to Kids in Need

I started my own organization Freekicks about a year and a half ago because I wanted to inspire people to find happiness and hope in life within themselves and in their communities. Beginning with looking within myself for something that yields such joy, I saw soccer as my passion and a way to give to others who may be unable to find joy for whatever reason. Playing soccer leads to so many things for individuals. With the first "free" kick of a ball, something transpires within an individual that gives rise to an inherent human strength, a release of spontaneous joy, a realization of ones own abilities, a desire to connect with others, and an awareness of self. I believe soccer is a game of life where we can forget about our troubles and just play, where we can be part of a team or community, and where we can tend to our own spirit.
It is these fundamental concepts that fueled my desire to share my passion for soccer with all people around the world where possible. I decided to collect used or new soccer gear to distribute to people in Phoenix and communities worldwide. Please visit my website http://www.freekicks.net/
to see a real picture of how I've made a difference. I orchestrate everything on my own through advertising and reaching out to others, both donors and those in need. I love every minute of what I do and have been amazed with the spirit of everyone I've met through my work this past year. I've connected with so many generous people who love giving as much as I do. It's truly amazing what we can do in this world when we reach out with purpose to help others: we meet others who also receive joy in helping, and witness joy in children who are so grateful to receive something so simple as soccer gear. In my work I feel I benefit as much as anyone receiving anything, because paying attention to the human spirit is really living life in a way that is bigger than ourselves.
My mission statement is: "Freekicks is dedicated to making a difference in children's lives and communities locally and globally by giving them donated gently used or new soccer equipment: giving kids a free kick, the chance to play soccer. We find inner strength and joy when we come together as ONE WORLD to bring communities together and enhance the lives of children through soccer, which is universally healthy for the mind, body, and soul."http://www.freekicks.net/
I'm reaching out to you to see if you would be interested in supporting my efforts however you feel comfortable or are inspired to do. I am continuously advertising for gently used or new donations so that I can distribute soccer items to schools, organizations, and children who I know would love to play soccer but don't have any soccer gear. The demand is growing for my donations considerably the more people hear about my cause, so I am doing this GoFundMe to purchase this gently used or new equipment to distribute, especially during the seasons THANKSgiving, the holidays, and the NEW Year full of hope and promise!

I built Freekicks from the ground up starting the fall of 2016 as a 16-year-old living in Scottsdale who plays club and high school soccer. I created the mission statement, acquired the trade name, built the web site, advertise on other websites and with businesses, collect all donations from individuals around town, purchase items needed from small cash donations, and deliver all the donations to all recipients. These recipients are people I have reached out to: those who I've known, formed relationships with through personal experiences, or because I have received referrals or requests. I've played soccer with the recipients! Who wouldn't?! The soccer gear I purchase with the funds I raise will include basic items like shoes, nets, and balls. l will take the soccer gear to locations locally, and I will ship soccer gear to locations outside of the U.S. Please visit my website to view the full extent of my organization, mission, philosophy, outreach process, and communities.
